Delete your account and data

This page explains how to delete your account and the personal data held by Vidya — Birth Chart & Astrology (Android package com.tryvidya.vidya), the astrology application published on Google Play and operated on the web at tryvidya.app by JBA Web Agency, the developer named in the app’s Google Play listing.

You can start the deletion yourself from inside the app or from the website, and you can also request it by email without installing or reinstalling anything.

Delete from the Android app

1. Open Vidya and sign in.
2. Go to the Profile tab.
3. Scroll to the bottom of the screen and tap Delete Account, below the Sign Out button.
4. Type your account email address to confirm, then tap DELETE.

Delete from the website

1. Sign in at tryvidya.app.
2. Open Settings from the dashboard.
3. Select Delete my account.
4. Type your account email address to confirm, tick the acknowledgement checkbox, and confirm.

Request deletion by email

If you no longer have the app installed or cannot sign in, email hello@tryvidya.app from the address associated with your account and ask us to delete it. We verify that the request comes from the account holder, then action it within 30 days of verification. No purchase, reinstall, or active subscription is required to make this request.

What happens when you delete

Deletion is immediate from your side: your session ends, and any active subscription is cancelled at once. Your data then enters a 30-day grace period, so an accidental deletion can be reversed by contacting us within that window.

Data that is deleted

After the 30-day grace period expires, the following is permanently purged — personal fields are cryptographically neutralised and cannot be recovered by us or by you:

• Your name, email address, and password credentials.
• Your birth data — birth date, birth time, and birth place — for every chart on the account.
• All natal charts, readings, cosmic portraits, and daily transit predictions generated for you.
• Your notification tokens and personal preferences.
• Linked Google and Facebook sign-in connections.

Data that is retained, and for how long

• Payment and invoice records — 7 years. Retained as required by Romanian accounting law (OG 25/2014 and related fiscal code provisions). These records are stripped of personal identifiers where the law permits.
• Server logs — rotated within 30 days.
• Session tokens — pruned 30 days after expiry.

Purchases made through Google Play are billed by Google. Deleting your Vidya account does not by itself cancel a Google Play subscription — manage that from the Play Store under Subscriptions.

Export your data first

Deletion is irreversible once the grace period ends. If you want a copy of your charts and readings, use the one-click JSON export in Settings before you delete. See our Privacy Policy for the full account of what we store and why.
